JENNIFER WORLEY PT, DPT

Hi! My name is Jennifer and I am the founder of Empowered Wellness and Health- a mobile wellness company that helps to take the information we learn from research about exercise and Parkinson’s Disease and apply it to your life and your goals.

I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Elon University and have 10 years’ experience working in the field across multiple settings. I have a passion for working with those living with movement disorders, including Parkinson's Disease. This passion has led me to pursue advanced training in multiple Parkinson specific programs including LSVT BIG, PWR! Moves, and Rock Steady Boxing. I want to empower my clients to live their lives to the fullest, achieve their fitness goals, and improve overall health.

I have always found fulfillment in working with those living with neurological conditions, but it wasn’t until a major stroke in my own family occurred that my career path was forever changed. During this time, I started working with my local Rock Steady Boxing group and was captivated by the energy and people in this community. Seeing the need and success of community programs I began to look for ways to expand the resources available locally, leading the creation of the first PWR! Moves class in my area.

Empowered Wellness and Health came as a natural progression from this desire to be a part of the growing resources available for the PD community. A background as a physical therapist focused on using evidence-based research has helped me solidify an understanding of the benefits that one-on-one work can provide. My goals are to work to identify specific areas of need for an individual, to meet targeted fitness goals, coordinate with Parkinson specific health professionals, and help people living with Parkinson’s Disease continue to do what they love.

When not working to Empower clients, I enjoy being a mom to two young children who always keep me on my toes! In our free time my husband and I enjoy traveling, watching and playing sports, and planning our next family adventure.
